Another badge design for Oklacon ( www.oklacon.com ), going along with the steampunk theme.

Not the most original idea ever, but I tend to lean towards an optimistic, fantasy style steampunk, so I'm trying to get some dystopian steampunk mixed in. Except for the ground texture added at the last minute (since that area will be covered with text), everything was done on a single layer!

So, go to Oklacon, this year will be the best yet!

Sarah, this continues to be my favorite piece out of all your works. The excessive pollution barely letting sunlight through in the background is troubling to me, but something about the focal character keeps drawing me back. The smooth, organic lines of the ears, forehead and muzzle, the intelligent expression on the face, the overlapping ridges on the neck, the the iron stove look of the chest, the gear in the bicep window, the hand design and pose, and even the twin smokestacks on it's back. I find it mesmerizing. I'm very proud to own a print of it! (Purchased from you in the print packet that year at Oklacon).

Thank you very much! You're one of few to have that opinion, I'm sure! I had alot of fun with him and hope to do more robotic characters in the future.
